On a mission...

I woke up this morning ready to give my two cents about poverty. I just submitted it to the Charlotte Observer, and we shall see if the article makes it to the paper...

In the meantime, I will divulge the title: The Forgotten War...

I founded Serve Charlotte's Homeless in 2009. Our mission was simple, and we set out to provide aid to those in need. What we didn't realize then, was that our donations and assistance to those in need, were just barely touching the surface. Through personal research and interactions with those in need, I came to the realization that these homeless individuals need more; more care, more supplies, more fellowship, more compassion, and more understanding. Homelessness is a complex issue, and we cannot rely on the government alone to change the homeless condition. If we are to change the lives of these homeless individuals, it will have to start with you!!
